My new girl, Loretta!

Beautiful girl Jenine! She is absolutely beautiful! I love her tub decorations too... you should get me in touch with her decorator!

Ahem.

ALL Lavenders are "the right one". Harrumph! Welcome to the one true addiction. ;)

(And of course, in keeping with your naming theme, is she named after a country/western singer, by any chance?)

Dale
You got it Dale, the coal miner's daughter's name came to mind when I got her home.
Thanks for her welcome to the forum everyone. :)

Congrats on the great find!!:cool:She looks Super!!! Eleven months! How did you do it?:shrugs: I start shaking & uncontrollable sweating just looking at the ads.:crazy02: Is there a corn snake rehab somewhere? I need help!

My first time for feeding Loretta today! First I weighed her, 83g. Rechecked her and found no signs of health concerns, and just looked at her a lot!
Then when she was getting restive and trying to escape I dangled a thawed mouse over her head and she struck and coiled straight away. She'd been fed on fluffs but took a weaned mouse with no trouble.

Loretta's blue, but it didn't stop her eating.

Thanks Tracee. I really wasn't going to buy any new snakes this year, honest! I haven't even got any het lav males to go with her, she's a real impulse buy. A little on the lean side but an eager feeder.

Janine, she is really pretty. And that is a word I almost never use outside of references to pretty ladies and pretty women. But I can see the lavender and the pink and she's just...yummy.
I'll bet if I licked her she would taste like huckleberries or muscadines.

Thanks Eric. I'd not seen any lavenders that I could really say I wanted until I saw Loretta's sale pictures. I don't like the peach/grey ones so much, but this pink and purpley snake just made me fall in love! I don't know if I'll ever breed her, she doesn't fit into my plans at all, I just love looking at her!

She is very ladylike. I just love the richly colored ones, subtle and vivid. They look like candy. That's why "Yummy" is one of my greatest compliments.
Absolutely edible. In a certain special way.
The colors that come to life in flowers, butterflies, and cornsnake morphs have given me many hours of esthetic and philosophical reflection.

I dunno how I missed this first time around....LOL
Nice find J9......And after everything you said about 'em..... I wish I hadn't sent all the 'abuse' on that other thread now..... ;)
Eric is waxing lyrically, so, check under your bed.... ....I think he's after it...

No. It's hers. I just want to lick it and see if it tastes like huckleberries or mulberries...!!! :wavey:

Haha! She actually reminds me of the juice on your hands from blackberry picking!
I still don't like the look of most lavenders, Mike, but Loretta was definately my 'buy me' snake this year.

I knew I was close. Blackberries, hunh? I didn't know you had blackberries in England.
