I already posted a thread in FC about this, but I figured I should do this here since im more into cornsnakes than other reptiles.
Plus, I like to brag about how good a job my husband and brother did.

Such an awesome thing, i need to go check on them tonight and I might post some updates since we've got some pregnant rats in there, and one or two pregnant mice (the or is because one of the pregnant mice is a chronic litter eater =/).

Anyway, it took them about two days (as the first day they kind of goofed off a bit), and it cost about $60 for the lumber and then $35-40 for the other materials.
Not too much I think personally but hey I dont build racks all the time.

Im also going to get hubby to make me some cages for our new jumbo rats and possibly the RTB we have as she needs room to climb.

Anyway, there it is.. ill stop rambling!

Very nice work. one bit of advise, keep an eye on the tubs, it appears they do not have smooth sides. The mice will chew on those enternal ledges. Make sure the containers are replaced once they start chewing

Love the design. Like others my only concern is the tubs. Lil suckers can chew through plastic in no time if you dont use something smooth.

Nice set up!! Okay, send them my way!

As for the chewing it depends on the mice and/or rats. Before this past year I bred fancy rats for show quality and pets. I used the tote set up, to house them in, breed them, and for moms with babies. I never had a problem with any of mine chewing out, but I have heard of other that did. I bred them for three years before I ad to quit.

So is the wire attached to the wood or to the tubs/totes?? It looks like its attached to the wood..but i thought I'd ask.
