Crazy Snail Lady
I had Ches out tonight and I took some fairly nice pictures I'd like to share. I know he's not the most stunning royal the world has ever seen, but I love him for his personality not his looks. He's the gentlest, kindest snake I have ever had the pleasure of handling.

I have quite a few pics so I'll do this in 2 or 3 posts.

So anyway... here is Chester. He's just over a year old and eats f/t every week. In short, he's a star. :)

I like these ones because you can clearly see his heat pits:

Thanks for looking!

He is very handsome indeed! Why do you say he is not the most stunning royal python in the world? beauty is inthe eye of the beholder :)

Nice BP! If only mine was as good of an eater as yours... ;)

P.S. The pic that's now your avatar is my favorite.

Cute as a button! =D

Be jealous...my bp eats like a piggy (piggython?). Currently weighs 747g and is approx. 10-11 months old. :grin01:

Thank you all for the lovely replies!

I didn't mean that he's not handsome. I guess I just didn't expect so many nice comments about his looks. :wavey:

A ball python that eats? Congrats!

Lol, thanks!

He he, great looking guy! Although I'm not quite so enthusiastic as the others about the beheaded snake in your avatar... :grin01:

Oh sorry, I didn't see that you posted Chester's age on there already (I was half asleep still reading the forum >>). It seems like he has a pretty good personality (which is awesome btw). Has he been pretty easy to take care of? I have heard that ball pythons are harder to take care of than corns (I haven't done any indepth research on pythons).

He has an amazing personality. I have handled a lot of snakes (I used to work with snakes), and I have never found any snake with a kinder personality than Ches.

Yes, he is quite easy to care for. The care isn't too different to that of a corn, he needs higher humidity and a slightly higher temperature. They are just so sweet though, it's worth the extra trouble.
