:) He is here!
Recived from Kathy Love.

I only got about 5 minutes to look at him before I had to run off to work. But he sure was lively! He started exploring my viv once I put him in there. Then he started to try to climb up the side of the glass, he makes it up about half way and falls over because he looses grib on the glass. :cool:

He seems healthy and I can't wait until his color starts to come in. Ill post some pics in a few hours.

new pics

i cant wait for those new pics and i was just wondering when i hold my snake i sometimes catch my snakes skin and i was just wondering if it harms it in any way. and when you dangle it from its tail is it good for it cause i was thinking it might have been good for its mucles like pulling its self up like we do push ups and pull ups and it is good for our mucles please replay i am on most of today. bye bye :wavey:

It would have been better to post this question by itself so that you aren't hijacking a thread with unrelated material. Since it's here, their skin does sometimes catch-no problem. I wouldn't recommend holding by the tail without body support as there's a chance you could damage the spine, not to mention it would be a bit stressful for the snake.
Triggerhappy: Congrats on your new Okeetee. Kathy's animals ARE awesome! I'm partial to Okeetees anyway and I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures!

you could always try did you ask kathy when it was last fed or is there a record with the postage??

congratulations trigg its been a long and well worth it wait.

Sorry about the wait. :) The quailty of the pics arent that good, most of them are blury. I need a new digital camera. Ill borrow my friends and take some pics. I took most of them real fast because he was photo shy.

My camera also washes out his colors. (You can already see some good oranges coming in!!!)

I love the bottom of his tummy, its checkered.

btw I just fed him. I gave him a lil pinky and put him in a shoe box inside of his viv for about 20 minutes. When I came back the lil pinky was gone and i could see a little lump 1/2 way down his belly :)

I had a little trouble getting him in the shoebox. I didnt expect him to be so quick and scared of me. :rolleyes: Poor guy.

Im still waiting for my girl friend to name him. She wants to name him "Icky" but I dont think that will go over very well with his self asteem. :)

Awww haha!

My mum was afraid of the snake when I got him... she asked to name him Toby to put a little humor into the situation, so Toby it is ^^;

Same thing, he had his first feed today (first feed from me, he's a year old) - put him into his little container in the viv and a few minutes later...no mouse, little lump!
