My snakes mouth after feeding

It hasbeen about three weeks since I've had my snake so this would be the third time I have fed him a pinkie.

After he ate it for a few minutes he kept opening an closing his mouth.

but a few times it was rediculous! hi mouth was so wide open :eek:my jaw dropped almost as much.:eek:

Is that normal... I'm sure it is but... why does he do that? :confused:
 
Are you only feeding him a pinkie a week? For a young snake is fairly standard to feed a pinkie every 4-5 days.
