"It's Hammer Time!!"
i want to give my corn a cool name, i mean, i cant call him "fuzzy." does any one know any cool or odd names that would be suitable for a snake?

Peace out :bang:

p.s. it a miami, if that helps

If the snake is male as you posted, I'd call him Esteban. Sounds very Miami to me, and it's the first thing I could think of (my usual snake-naming method).

Actually FUZZY would be a rather interesting snake name

My male Miami's name is Santana.
Maybe try something you relate to Miami and go from there. :shrugs:

I was going to suggest Sonny Crocket, but I didn't think the rain_man would know who he was. And no, he wasn't the guy in the coonskin cap! Darned kids these days! ;)

I like naming things that way too, but sometimes I run into trouble. I wanted to stick with a location-related name for my Colombian RTB, so if I ended up getting a male he was going to either be "Juan Valdez" or "Pedro the cocaine smuggler" because nothing else Colombian seemed to fit... :grin01:

I'd go with Pedro, always a story to tell ;)

It all depends what kind of mood I'm in... Legoless got his name from having a "Gimli" sort of attitude when we bought him, and well...pun got into the way... Takala is the Hopi word for Corn Tassel, and I really liked the sound of it. Much easier than the word for Corn Maiden! My Samoyed is named Qannik which means snowflake in one of the Alaskan native languages. Then there's Braveheart...who is the most timid dog imaginable!

My corn snakes' names come from Ovid's Metamorphoses, which I was reading when I decided to get the first two. After Achilles and Atalanta, they go in more-or-less alphabetical order. The Kenyans' names came from the names of rivers and lakes in Africa (I like having themes, darnit), and the ball python that I got to name is named Pi. For python. Because I'm original like that. ;) The other one may be renamed Baal... again, I'm horribly unoriginal!

We have snakes named Puppy (milksnake phase) and Rover (hognose), plus a whole lot more. We're only missing G, Q, W, X and Y names.

G-George/Gwen

Q-Quincy/Quinn

W-Wilbur/Wilma...:sidestep:

X-Xavier/Xena

Y-Yoshi/Yolanda

:crazy02: I guess I'm just bored!!:crazy02:

I'm sure a name will pop in to your head soon enough

:-offtopic nah, I ended up with a female and named her Myst, short for Mystique. I'm saving Pedro for if/when I get a Pueblan milksnake!

Theme names

I usually try to think of theme names when I give my pets names also. I have a RE verse O keetee named Reo, a bubblegum snow named Wrigley, an albino jungle named George, a normal okeetee named Oscar cuz he's a grouch, a normal named Jemima cuz she's my southern girl, and a dot-dash cali king named Highway. Whatever I think of when I first see the snake, that's what the name will be.

My Corns Names

I have a Reverse Okeetee named Ayla-I just thought itwas such a pretty name, a Pastel Motley named Helana-I let someone else name her, and a ZigZag Okeetee named Drachenstein- he was kind of evil when I got him but now he is a real sweetie but the name has stuck.

Fuzzy is a funny name!! I think the name is entirely up to you, no reason it has to be a reptilish theme. The way my snakes get names is by looking through my mythology book. here's my list of snake names
Athena, Hydra, Medusa, Poseidon, Apollo, Hera, Demeter, Circe, Cassiopeia, Andromeda, Prometheus, Cerberus, Artemis

i think that i am going to name my snake Nebacanezar. i just wanted to hear some more common name, so i could find something more original. Thanks everyone.
