Ever Evolving Exotics
This project is for the soul! As many of you know I had a Herald Snake, which passed away in the heat snap I had last year. I put 1.3 of them on back order from my buddy but that's not the new project! Since last year I have searching for Madagascar Cay-Eyed Snakes (Madagascarophis colubrinus). I couldn't find anyone who had any of them. I know they were imported from Madagascar, but I didn't want to deal with the WC stuff. I found an ad on Fauna yesterday for some CB babies and had to jump on them! I got a Blonde phase female and a Silver phase male! We don't know if the Silver phase is a naturally occuring Anery or if it's just a natural varience of the species. I don't have pictures yet, but here's the ad for them!

That's why I bought them. They remind me of an island version of the Heralds. Hopefully I'll have both in my snake room soon to compare!
 
Got everything set-up for them and they should be ready in 2 weeks! I did get some pictures so I'll post those tonight!
 
Thanks guys! I am super excited to get these snakes. It will be nice to have some obscure colubrids back in the collection.
