I am in need of Day old Pinkies.. Lol This lil Lavender i have is not going to get much of anything else down. And I usually do my feeding on the weekends. Well, I can't find anyone with the Day olds. LOL! What are your suggestions?! Is there anyone in the area that breeds them.. that I could meet up with and buy some?! Frozen.. Live.. at this point I don't care. Lol I need to feed him. He is super SUPER Tiny.

So if you have Any Suggestions on what to do.. Please.. let me know! I am willing to meet with someone tonight if you have some to Spare.

Have you checked with Pet Supplies Plus in Pinellas Park? In the plaza on the corner of 49th and Park. They usually get some really small pinks in with their shipment each week. I want to say they normally get shipments on Tues or Weds.

The Mouse Factory will hand pick day old pinkies for you if you ask. You can't just talk to anyone there though. You need to talk with a lady over there; I can't remember her name, but if I spoke to her on the phone again, I would definately remember her voice; she is the greatest. Sometimes you pay a little extra for this service, but it's not too bad.

Or you can go with rodentpro. You don't even need to sweet talk anyone over there for day old pinkies. One of their line items is day old pinkies...and they are like $.16 each plus shipping (100 minimum order)

Well, I am hoping to get something here. And I don't wanna do a order of 100 if I wont need them that long. Lol I am going to weigh him today. I am feeding the 2 bigger ones as I have feeders for them. And weighing them too.
I will try Pet supplies plus and see. But, I really don't know if he can handle a normal cpl day old Pinkie.

As far as feeding a head.. Ehhh I dunno If I can chop it off..:puke01:

I will call the other place here in florida.. and see if they are semi Close. I don't wanna ride to the other side of Florida for Pinkies. LMAO! :)

Chop it off when frozen, it's not so bad. When thawed, be careful not to squeeze it so much, or certain juices will flow from the back of the neck...you want to avoid this if possible. :puke01:

Also, if you cut the head off such that the two front legs are included, you will have an easier time handling the severed head. I use locking tweezers to pull the pinkies out of their bags, and into the thawing bag, and then into the feeding container for the snake...ever touching the food itself. A plate, and an exacto knife make the perfect tools for cutting heads off of frozen pinkies.
 
I called Pet Supplies Plus, and a few other Petstores in the area.. that I know have Snakes... and yea, Nothing. Pet Supplies Plus.. Only has Adults. Only time they do Pinkies is if they have something to feed the pinkies to in the store. And they don't right now. *sigh*

Sooooo I Dunno Yet.

Weighed the two older ones. Emily is now 119g And the Anery.. which still doesnt have a Permenant Name.. is 154g. And he is not interested in eating today. So I covered him and left him in the feeding bin.

I will bring out Lavendar and feed him here in a min.
 
Just pretend it's a very cold pink Jelly Belly!! Looks the same...I cut them up frozen unless I have someone to eat the other piece. It's not so bad. Wait till you have an adult mouse blow out. THAT is gross.

I Don't think I will need 100 x small Pinkies.. Maybe 20.. before I go to Normal ones..
And I will need to order weaned Mice too.. for the adults.. And those come in 50 qty bags. I wont need that many.. They will get freezer burn before I Use em. Lol

Would anyone be willing to split a order with me?!

Emily wasn't this Small when I got her.. Neither was the Butter I had. So, I am new to what to do with a small baby!

You keep the butts till he's ready for a bigger meal! Like feed four heads, and then try the butts! I have a snake right now that is on pink heads because he regurged. I thought, the other day, of offering it to him on the end of a toothpick! (He likes to be tease-fed by hand, too).
 
Should have gone to the show over the weekend. They had mouse vendors there and you wouldn't have had to drive as far or pay for shipping.
I am really surprised about Pet Supplies Plus. When we lived down there they always had pinky mice for customers....

We moved up to Hudson, but if you wanted to drive up here I could give you a couple (I picked some up at the show this weekend myself). I work until 7pm tonight and have to go to walmart tonight otherwise I would try to meet you. And I have to work later the rest of the week.
 
Yea, we wanted to go to the Show.. But, My hubby was working all weekend.. and had to have the car. So I had no ride. :-/ And Honastly.. Didn't think it was going to be so hard to find them I guess. Lol
