I got 4 snakes, 3 females and a male, do you think it would be possible for the male to breed with all 3 females safely??? or should I try to find another nice male???

I bred my first time breeder male to two females. They did fine. I just gave them 3 days or so between breedings to allow the male time to build the sperm back up. All eggs were fertile.

I would suggest you try to get the male with each of those females at least twice.

Yep, how much do your snakes weight? Make sure the females weight a bit over 300 grams and are over 3 years old.

Now that I've seen how much weight they lose after laying (average is 100 grams) I'd say a lot over 300.

I don't know how much they weigh... I dont have anything to weigh them... :shrugs: And I know I want to wait awhile before putting them together... And do you think it would be a good Idea to buy a weighing thing???

Yes, you can get a pretty good food scale that does grams for about $30 US. So if you plan on raising and breeding snakes it may be a good idea to hunt one down.

I think it's just a good idea to have anyway. It's kind of fun to keep track of how each one grows and then you can look back on the records later and see what they were, and what they are now.

From what I understand, and the guideline I follow, the male can easily be bred 6 times with normal fertility rates. It's also recommended (in Kathy's books) to wait 3 days between each breeding. More than 6 times doesn't mean the male won't be fertile, be fertility will be decreased.
