Need help w/ cooler mths ahead..

Little Dani is staying on the cooler side of his Viv. I need to get something to keep that side warmer. Last night the house got down to 69. And he stayed on the cooler side. My other guys stay on the warmer side of their viv. Is he wanting to Brumate? I know he is a day or two away from shedding.
What should I do? Newbie needs help AGAIN!!

Oh & its in the high 70's during the day *S. CA*. So that side gets up to 75.

UGH so confused!! HELP!!

Could Dani just be too shy or cautious to expose herself moving from one hide to the other? Try putting a paper towel tube half between the two hides and see if Dani will use that to move covertly from hide to hide.

As long as he has access to a warm side, I think he will be fine. Corns are tough critters. They live as far north as southern New Jersey in the wilds.

You could go with Herpstat and a ceramic heater,on your cool side. Then you could set at 75 and have no worries!!That is wat I had to do with my kids beared dragons last winter. It worked great.

YOU guys are wonderful! Dani (my blind climber..lol) is not shy at all. He is about to shed in a few days & tends to hide during this time. But on the warmer side he usually stays.

Now my house will get down to the low 60's in the cooler mths. Should I still not worry about the cooler side? Will this temp at night make him want to Brumate? Again during the day I will turn the house-heater on & in the winter mths I will let the house get around 68. So it will be getting much cooler than it is now. We are cold blooded humans...lol But their warmer side will be around 85*90*. So is this right?

TIA!

Vikki, my warm side temps have been anywhere from 80-85 degrees in the winter, with occaisional dips into the upper 70s.
Dani should be fine :)

We live pretty close, and probably have basically the same temps.. I don't do anything at all in the winter, other than to make sure none of my snakes are kept near an 'outside' wall where the chill seems to come in. I just keep the warm side at about 85-87. The cool side is a little cooler than ideal, but I don't notice any problems with digestion or anything else..

My room temp hovers around 68-70 all winter and I didn't have any problems with my corns last winter. As long as the warm side is 85 and it doesn't drop too much below 68 or so cool side, I wouldn't worry about it. They do tend to stay right on that heat mat on the cooler days though =)
