New AP Rack/ Heat Cable Pics

Nanci

So to make room for a second rack, I ditched the dining room table. Doesn't this look so much better?

I told someone I'd post pics of the heat cable. This is how it arrives:

Starting to thread up through the bottom:

Being pressed into the slot:

And a random temp reading, demonstrating the need for a thermostat:

Now if you ditch the bed you could fit in two more and the oven theres another one....LOL
Nice set ups your getting together Nanci....Looks good

You can see Isabel brumating on the left. Under her is the superworm colony and the toad feeding bin. In the occupied snake rack you can see Inspector Cherry keeping a close eye on things. Way to the right is the edge of Lily's viv. Lila is over on the wall perpendicular to Isabel. See the little edge of green counter in the foreground? Jake and Maizey are stacked right there. My new tiny kitchen table is going where the pile of junk in the foreground is.

No one has showed up for the $20 I offered to melt holes in all the bins!! I guess I'm going to have to do it myself...It's killing me to look at the empty bins. I need to get the stuff to go in them- hopefully at the Tampa show coming up, or by buying a couple things each time I go to Petsmart. By stuff I mean hides and water bowls and vines, not snakes- that empty rack is just waiting for hatchlings to grow up and move in. I _think_ my house still looks like a house, not like a reptile shop. I think I have 23 animal homes- oops, forgot the birds, 25 homes in the house, but they're spread out!

Nery nice setup Nanci!! Thank you for showing me what heat calbles look like and how to set them up..where did you get your rack system from? :0)

They are Animal Plastics Economy Plastic 66 qt racks- $240 each I think, including heat and shipping. They are not on the website, but I have the ordering information if anyone needs it. Or obviously you can just ask the company- they are excellent to deal with. They aren't special order, just not listed yet. It takes about four weeks to build them.
