New Baby

I recieved a female Keys corn, and was unaware she was gravid. She laid 6 eggs, but only one was fertile. Well that egg hatched out on sunday. A gorgeous little thing. Now my question is do I have to wait until it sheds to feed it? It has been 4 days now and it hasn't shed yet. Thank you in advance.

It will shed about a week after hatchling. I'd hold off feeding, because now the baby is blue. I'd offer the smallest pink you can find- and boiling it will almost guarantee success. Oh- I feed the day after the first shed, usually. Babies have some amount of yolk left to absorb upon hatching, so it's better to let them use that up and get hungry, too.
