New corn snake owner. Snake ate aspen. HELP!

She isn't going to regurge from the minimal handling it takes to transfer her back to her viv from a feeding container. If any of my snakes gets messy from eating (like they pop the mouse!) they go take a shower under the sink faucet before being put back. no one has ever regurged even from that.

yea that little handling shouldn't bother it at all..

side note! yuck on popped mouse our classic/normal whatever you wanna call her does it all the time. almost every time we feed her i don't understand it? our tinier one doesn't even do it but she will it seems on purpose!

The store I bought popcorn- my butter corn from had 2 reptile owners working there th@ both hav corn snakes & they both feed in the enclosure which is y I took their advice originally. I dnt think they told me 2 feed her in the enclosure because they r neglectful etc it's just the way they do it. I was told 2 feed her th@ way cos of the risks of handling her after feeding causing regurgitation. But personally I think on the handling/regurgitation vs eating substrate issue I'd rather risk the regurgitation. If I keep the handling down 2 a minimum, literally from feeding box 2 enclosure I can't think th@ she wud regurgitate th@ easily really.

With our big corn I hold his feeding tub next to the edge of his tank and let him crawl in. He likes to make me wait. It's kind of hilarious. My son just picks him up and moves him but I am more wary.

With our little one, we weigh, then feed in the paper bag and then put the bag into his enclosure and wait for him to crawl out. When he has vacated the bag I take it back out. It works really nicely and I don't have to wash the bag, just trash it! :)

Ok so it's been about 3days since I fed my corn & she accidentally ingested aspen substrate, I spot cleaned her 2day & no poop! :-( I've been handling her 2day & she doesn't hav any bulges around her tail end or anything but I'm concerned th@ she hasn't passed any stool. Last time she pooped was 6days ago, altho I'm not sure if th@ was actually poop or musk :-s I was handling her wen she pooped/musked, it was a brownish liquid with a chalky yellow substance @ the end & it REALLY stank lol. Whether it was poop or musk th@ time I haven't seen ANYTHING now 4 6days. I know she's drinkin so she's not dehydrated, shes due 2 b fed again on sat. Shud I b worried? Wud u guys suggest I give her a warm water bath 2 try & encourage her 2 poop?

Oh it wnt b. She's gonna b fed outside of her enclosure in future. Th@ way i wnt nearly hav a heart attack & freak out about her getting poorly. How long wud u wait with no poop b4 u took action tho?

Yeah I was thinkin of doing th@. It was about 4/5 days after her din dins th@ she pooped last time (thanku lennycorn 4 confirming it was indeed poop), so I thought I'd give her til friday which will b 6days (also my next day off) & then if I c no poop I'll give her a bath & feed her as normal (but outside her enclosure) on Saturday. How do u bath ur corns 2 help them poop. Popcorn is only 6months old & about 1 1/2ft long.

I get a plastic tub and put some cool but not cold water in it. Not quite warm to my hands is what I shoot for. About 1/2 inch of water for the hatchling or a couple inches for the big guy. Then I put a towel folded thick enough to make a surface and toss that in the middle or at one end. They tend to drink then swim around and poop. As soon as they go I pull them out and play with them a bit, then put them back and wash the tub with hot soapy water.

Last fed her in the small plastic tub she came home in. Think it was originally made for storing live crickets. She ate fine. Took a little longer to take it but I think that was more because she was about to go into blue. She has now shed (yay! :D) & she pooped inside her shed lol. I'm just glad she's pooped. It had been at least 2weeks! Still all is well :) Thanks everyone.
