New Corn *

Unfortunately, I do not. At first I thought it was some good-natured ribbing, but torsten, you seem to enjoy reveling in another person's discomfort. I hope you eventually outgrow it.

other persons discomfort, is that another term for trolling which we don't use in the UK?

He supposedly has been researching this corn snake for 5 years!!!! yet he still thinks you can get green and black corn snakes, what site has he been using, an ATP site!! (no disrespect to ATP owners) come on LBoz, :poke: he has changed the colour of this corn 3 times and then back again, oh and they conveniently will not allow pictures to be taken of these snakes.

if he really is serious though he better start acting it because otherwise he will miss out on the well of knowledge you enlighten ones provide !!!;) to us mere mortals.:grin01:

:eek:ff topic:

sorry for an off topic double post but:

can us non-paying members edit our own posts?

Because i am now struck by the thought that is it ATP or ATB or are they both different species.

thanks

just realised it, its a green tree python (GTP) or an Amazonian Tree Boa (ATB)

oops :O

sorry.

out of interest, what hybrid do you reckon would create a snake that looked like a corn but was green and black (maybe a future project!! jokes)!!

thanks

Okay... Small list of questions for you here;
  1. Are you buying your cornsnake from a local pet store, a breeder or a national petstore chain?
  2. Why won't they sell you the 'green and black' cornsnake?
  3. Is there any particular reason that you know of, that they won't let you in to take pictures? More than one snake per vivarium, perhaps? Mistreated or neglected animals?
  4. Have you seen the snake you'll be getting?
  5. How old are you?

All I can think of for now.

*quotes her questions to Socrates doesn't miss them*

I believe that gray rat snakes and black rat snakes have been known to have a green sheen to them at some point during their development. Only thing is it's not a green green, and I've always felt the need to squint a little in order to really see it. :grin01:

Actually, hybrid probably wasn't correct either. I'm wondering if it was a king? Petsmart recently had a really pretty green and black king right next to a normal corn. I didn't know that kings came in that morph, but I don't know squat about morphs. Maybe he thought they were both corns?
(still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt) :grin01:

Really?! I have actually had dreams where I've been out catching banded Cali morphs in dart frog colors, including green and black. But I never knew they existed!

Socrates:

I think you will get a better response if your next post includes a photo of a the snake that you bought or intend to buy. If the pet store does not allow photos (for whatever reason), maybe you could ask them to take a picture and email you so you could better make an informed decision. If they think that you are a prospective buyer they may be willing.

He was really beautiful. I'd have gotten him, but it was...you know...Petsmart. Hindsight.

Well, it's all up to socrates to show what he is... a true budding enthusiast (albeit ignorant and prideful?), or a sucker for the 'anonymous' nature of the interwebs.

I hope he/she posts pics. If not, well, no big.

http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70532 in this thread he explains how he going to do instrutinal videos for you tube, things like showing how to point a corn head the way you want it go......

Scorates I sitll have to say you: The unexamined mind is not worth living

:roflmao:

Okay, I was sympathizing with LBoz, and I felt maybe some members were being a little hard on him, but now that I've read his other posts, it seems more like this kid is just too young to be using the internet without a strictly controlled browser, and needs to mature a little more before interacting with adults and other maturer (<wow that's a word? spell check didn't flag it lol) kids.

It's quite amusing if you read it all.
I think these pictures are the most anticipated ones of the month :)

Do you reckon 1: he is going to make a decent attempt with a good photo editing program.
2: he is going to make an awful attempt with poor software which will be hilarious.
3: we we never hear from him again.
4: he decides to become a good member of this forum.

any votes?
