Hey everyone, as you can tell, my name is Mike. I was an active member of this forum a while back, but slowly stopped using it. I'm back though, and really do hope to stay updated on what goes on here for good.

I currently have a female (I think) Amel corn, just over 1 year old (3 months maybe). I've had her for about a year and 2 months, and she is doing very well.

The story of why I left cornsnakes.com was simply, eh, boredom? you might call it. I have a tendency to get really focused in on one hobby, then move to another, then another, and then go back to the first one. I moved on from corn snakes to other hobbies, and in this time period just kind of coasted along with Cadayle (<---Name of my snake). I rarely handled her but fed her on time (mostly).

Now I'm back, though, and hope to keep it that way.

I also suppose that a little bit of background on Cadayle is due now. I got her from PetCo (I know, right...) as a Birthday present if I recall correctly. I also bought a 20g long viv and other essentials. After about a week of owning her, I realized she had mites, so I turned to these forums. I quickly found the solution, a Nix solution, to be exact ^^ It worked well and she's been fine since.
I currently have her feeding on a combination of, oh gosh I hope I remember these right, fuzzies and pinkies. I know she is big for them, but I ordered a whole bunch online, a bit too many in-fact, but the combined mass of them equals her recommended weekly intake.

Also, I plan on spending Christmas money on materials for a new viv I'm going to build her. It is going to be 4' x 2' x 2', and if all goes according to plan, will look quite spectacular. I'll post pictures once I start/finish it.

As for me, I'm 15 and a sophomore in High School. I wrestle, play rugby, airsoft, and happen to love snakes :D

Thanks Lots,
--Mike M.

Welcome back! I am relatively new here, got my 1st corn snake this fall. Since then I have added 2 more & have plans for MANY more. Glad to read your Cadayle is thriving. Pictures please!

I'll probably post up pictures tonight :D Unfortunately my parents won't let me get any more snakes, for whatever reason. I'm having a hard enough time trying to convince them to care for Cadayle here once I go off to (hopefully) the Naval Academy, considering I don't want to giver her away.

Mike, if you get into Annapolis, I'll take care of Cadayle while you are there! Seriously.

Haha yea that's another thing I was thinking of. Since I know how great the community is on here, I was sure someone wouldn't have minded too much to take her in for a couple of years ;D

Oh, and since I can't figure out how to just edit my post -- anyone know how to resize pictures so that I can post some of Cadayle? Haven't done any of that in a while, and all I can remember is how to resize films.

Thanks,

If you need someone else to care for your bud for a couple years - I live quite close to you. I would be willing to shelter him for awhile.

And welcome back to the forums. I friggin' love this place. =]
