Hey everyone, as you can tell, my name is Mike. I was an active member of this forum a while back, but slowly stopped using it. I'm back though, and really do hope to stay updated on what goes on here for good.
I currently have a female (I think) Amel corn, just over 1 year old (3 months maybe). I've had her for about a year and 2 months, and she is doing very well.
The story of why I left cornsnakes.com was simply, eh, boredom? you might call it. I have a tendency to get really focused in on one hobby, then move to another, then another, and then go back to the first one. I moved on from corn snakes to other hobbies, and in this time period just kind of coasted along with Cadayle (<---Name of my snake). I rarely handled her but fed her on time (mostly).
Now I'm back, though, and hope to keep it that way.
I also suppose that a little bit of background on Cadayle is due now. I got her from PetCo (I know, right...) as a Birthday present if I recall correctly. I also bought a 20g long viv and other essentials. After about a week of owning her, I realized she had mites, so I turned to these forums. I quickly found the solution, a Nix solution, to be exact ^^ It worked well and she's been fine since.
I currently have her feeding on a combination of, oh gosh I hope I remember these right, fuzzies and pinkies. I know she is big for them, but I ordered a whole bunch online, a bit too many in-fact, but the combined mass of them equals her recommended weekly intake.
Also, I plan on spending Christmas money on materials for a new viv I'm going to build her. It is going to be 4' x 2' x 2', and if all goes according to plan, will look quite spectacular. I'll post pictures once I start/finish it.
As for me, I'm 15 and a sophomore in High School. I wrestle, play rugby, airsoft, and happen to love snakes
Thanks Lots,
