Note to self: Don't surf craigslist. It will get you in trouble. And thats where these came from. Daaaaaaaang it! LOL. Well, at least I can get feeders really cheap. Just have to get rid of the atrocious and space eating tanks and get tubs all setup with flexwatt and all that jazz.

Without further ado..
Poseidon(male)-large one, and Persephone-smaller female.

I don't know anything about them-ages, locales, etc. Just looks to be normal type Columbians. I like them none the less so I got them.

I've decided my boas are going to have Greek names. lol.

Does anyone think the female looks like skinny? The larger of the two is male. They're both good feeders and pretty healthy. One thing they aren't is "lap snakes".. They will NOT hang on to you and chill out. They're off and running trying to get under things and what not. The male is the larger of the two and he is very nice. The female is very quick and is everywhere- I think she might weigh about 5 pounds or so? And the male.. He's a lot heavier and bulky.

;)

If these fellas arrived not too long ago, the skiddish behavior is understandable and should subside.
Unless you checked for yourself, I think you got the sexes backwards(if they are of the same age)- In Boa Constrictors, the female is a deal larger than the male- with males reaching roughly 5.5-7 feet, and females somewhere along 7-12 feet...

Personally I would inquire about their age- and have them sexed again- it is quite essential as the recommended feeding cycles is different for males and females.

Generally, it is crucial to receive all information prior to buying the animal... imagine a scenario where you actually got a wild caught pair- setting the health issues aside, their behavior would be quite hard to cope with.

This should get you started:

By the looks of them they are probably have hit the 2 years mark, but there's very little to compare to when it comes to estimating the exact size.

Me too, well kind of....I haven't actually bought any animals off of Craigslist yet but I have been very very tempted. I have, however, gotten some cages off CL for my snakes.

More pics..

Nope, Poseidon IS the male for sure..
Spurs anyone? (Sorry, none of Persephone.. they just wouldn't show.. LOL..but they are significantly less..
