New puppy!

I took Faolan to a dog park today since he has finally gotten his last shots!

Just before we left, eating a bully stick:

When we arrived at the dog park I expected Faolan to be so excited to finally be able to run and play with other dogs because he is always so desperate to do that when we are out walking or something and he sees other dogs. But actually he was really unsure of what to do when all the other dogs came up to greet him. And then this big lab came running up and actually ran him over and he yelped and ran off to hide under a picnic table, poor thing. But we figured out the problem: all these dogs are bigger than him! When a dog came in that was smaller, look what happened:

A St. Bernard tried to join in and Faolan didn't know what to do at first:

Then he decided: go hide!

St. Bernard lost interest, back out again!

Where are you getting your whole prey from. my cats eat whole raw prey (f/t rats) but I was feeding raw to the dogs as well but stopped due to the cost. My one ridgeback is so picky as well that she won't eat anything but chicken or pork and won't touch organ meat unless I hide it in the meat she will eat. Won't touch deer meet, beef or anything else. My other two will eat anything. I've looked into ground whole prey but it's double what I'm paying for grain free bison/venison Taste of the Wild. With three dogs it gets exorbitant. I'm paying more than double what it used to cost to feed the cats...four small rats a day at $1.35 a piece...you get the idea. I had a UTI problem with one of the cats though and that solved it so it's worth the cost. I have no problems with the dogs though.

Starting out I just got chicken from the grocery store for less than $1/lb. Went for sale or reduced to clear meats only. There is an asian market here that has more exotic meats for super cheap so when we start switching it up I'll go there.

Don't have that here and most of the chicken is high in sodium. Hard to find decent chicken in the market that doesn't, that's cheap.
