It's the same as that aluminum tape...it's mainly used for like, the pipes that come out the back of your clothes dryer...and on heating ducts and stuff...same thing we talked about..
Dillema!!! I have been running this second UTH stuck to the side of the "cool side" on the same, then it's own, thermostat. Completely cranked, I can only get the cool side up to 66.6 (that's kinda creepy).
It's still too cold!!! Now what? I guess I'll have to pick up a clip on lamp with some good clearance and a 40 watt bulb and get that going on the other thermostat as well. But before I buy, I'll take any and all suggestions on 'best type of bulb". I'll probably go tomorrow to pick that up.
Okay the uth is mostly recommended to be on the under part of the tank not on the side..the probe to the thermostat has to be on the glass right above the heat pad, and same goes for the probe to the thermometer..it has to be right over the heat pad for an accurate reading..this could be why your having some problems..
