New snake added to the household...

Mr.AJ

Educated Horse.
Went to the petshop today to pick up some mice for chompy, wasn't intending to pick up any new snakes.. But i still came back with a beautiful baby Royal Python.

But i've been watching this little fella since the clutch first came into the store a few months back, He's been the most active feeder out of the lot... Gained the best growth but he was the only one who remained. There is of course, a reason for this... He has a damaged back, From bad handling as a hatchling. Anyway, Whilst i was in the store chatting to the owner, Who knows how keen i've been on the little guy but was always put off by the injury. He mentioned to me if i wanted him, I could have him - For free, On the condition i bought the equipment i needed for him from them. Well, Bargain i decided! (I should point out at this point, I know he is an excellent feeder on f/t as i've seen him feed quite a few times! and i know it hasn't hindered his mobility or growth.. and he's already been checked out by a vet a few months back and been given a clean bill of health!). So i found it hard to pass up the offer really! Fingers crossed everything will be ok for the little fella..!

He's fine being handled by me (Already used to me really, Hold him for a good 10 minutes each time i've been in!) and seems to be settling into his new surroundings very well.. So without further ado, Here he is.. Monty! (Monty Python!)

Will get some better pictures once he's settled in..!

Awwwww he/she is adorable :) I love ball pythons! I'd love to get another, but i'm looking to get a dumerils ground boa or blood python. :)

He's a handsome little fellow - I'm sure glad he found a home with you!
Is that the area in his back where he was hurt in the first picture? Or is he just bent funny? Do you know exactly what happened to his back? I'm just curious!

I hope he does great for you! Congrats!
