Thread so that I can have a catch all... Please feel free to tell me all your oppinions and advise I need it... Again Im new to snakes, I love animals and I've had and cared for many animals from rodents, birds, normal pets, to horses, and even wild animals... I just want to be prepared, so again have fun with the advise and give me all you've got, thanks again!!!

Read the F&Q's... you must be a tad more specific... there's a reason why they exist. It's quite a chore to go over everything again and again.

Only two general tips:

1- Snakes require patience. So you'd better muster up some beginning now.

2- Being hysterical over every incident is a sure way to get your snake killed. Quite a few people I know tried to force-feed(which is a major no no in my book) a snake that regurgitated a week beforehand. Again it comes down to keeping your nerves about you and being patient. No E R over minor issues.
Ask around the forums. I have recently joined this forum and already I can say that there are some damn good snake keepers around here.

Read the FAQ, and narrow it down to a couple of questions.

I know you are new to this site and you claim a language barrier, but it appears your grasp of the English language is excellent. Even in nuance you have a grasp of the language.
On behalf of other members of this forum Miss. Araco ask away, while we may ask for more precise info at times and pics, questions have to start somewhere. At times we may be opinionated and that is OK.

:-offtopic As for you Kokopeli your point #2 was very rude and condescending. You have every right to an opinion but it is only that your opinion. I would like to know where you read on this forum where someone said to force feed a snake a week after it regurged. What you consider minor may be major to another and they have a right to ask.
This by the way is my opinion only, susang

Take note that nowhere in my original post did I state that said people I know are or were from this forum. You assumed it was so and decided to rebuke me for it.

My advice was to the point and extremely general. If you decided to deflect said advice unto people here- that was entirely a decision made by yourself and not intended or even hinted in my original post.

I've been around here for what? three days? so naturally no, I don't know a whole lot about every single keeper here. But I did specifically state that there are "damn good snake keepers" around here.

If anyone took offense- I apologize, because that's not what was meant.
However I will not apologize for what I wrote, which was a very general and a solid advice nor do I feel that it was phrased in a manner that would imply towards any ineptitude displayed by anyone here.

Last note, and I am sure you are aware to everything I said thus far because you quoted me before responding:

I specifically wrote "Again it comes down to keeping your nerves about you and being patient. No E R over minor issues.
Ask around the forums. I have recently joined this forum and already I can say that there are some damn good snake keepers around here."

Where here do I state a person does not have a right to ask? I wrote the exact opposite.

I don't know the writer, nor do I know you for that matter- so no, I cannot nor do I want to aim criticism towards anyone. So, before you sharpen my words and reform their context I would ask that you at the very least ask me about it via a private message rather than automatically assume this post was made against the whole forum. I am by no means hot blooded nor did I make it a habit to snipe at people.

Miss. Araco, welcome to the forum. If you hang around here long, you'll learn tons of great info. Good to have you here. Just explore threads, use the links above, and have a good time. :)

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your new snake when you get it! Make sure you post some pics! As already mentioned, dont be scared to ask questions, there are some really great people on here with a vast amount of experience :)

Welcome, I'm very new to corns myself, best thing is search the threads and specific categories. There is a program you can down load from this site: http://www.thegeckocam.com/ It's listed as HCS (Herp Care Software) to help keep track of info about your snake or snakes (they are habit forming) and there is a feature that you can use to keep track of info you find and keep in a library for easy reference. Good luck.:)
