New species of snake found!

It really makes you wonder just what is out there that we still have left to discover given the constant human encroachment factor. And yet it's still a very large world with lots left to explore...
 
Hmmm.... thats interesting. Nice looking snake.
Its weird how if the snake bites someone it often kills itself - I wonder how it captures prey?
 
Its also weird that they aren't immune to their own venom. Most hots have an immunity to their own venom to keep from killing themselves if they bite themselves while trying to hit prey. Never heard of that before, and the article was very vague on that part of the story. I'm sure there is a better explaination. Awesome find snake 5007, thanks for posting it! :dancer:
 
I thought it was pretty cool, so i posted it. I'm going to see if i can find more info about this find.
