I got Croc my very first snake almost 2 weeks ago. He is a baby and a male, I believe. He shed 4 days after I got him and it measured 15 inches long. He also did very well in shedding in one piece, I have also feed him since I got him and he inhaled the pinkie in less than 3 minutes. I don't know what kind of corn he his and I’m hoping someone will be able to help me.
P.S. I don't own the heat rock any more, I didnt even plug it in.

Welcome to the forum it is a great place and there are lots of wonderful people here. I am glad to hear you got rid of the heat rock. You little corn looks to be a normal/classic. Do you have a thermometer, UTH, and thermastat? Good luck with the little guy.

Welcome, Sharks! :wavey:

That's a great looking little guy you have there. I can't ID my way out of a paper bag, so I'm just saying hello. Good for you for not using the heat rock, too!

Welcome to the hobby, and the forum. Your baby looks like a classic corn, as CassieK said. You can expect him to show more reds, oranges, and yellows as he grows. I love that piece of wood you have in his viv. I'll bet Croc will enjoy that.

Croc's Home

This is what Croc's home looks like. I have to tank therm. one on each end. My humidity dial is being covered by his leaves and wood. I also have a therm. with a probe to test the temp of the substrate because i do have an under the tank heater.

P.S. Croc is obsessed with his wood piece, he hardly stays in his hide now that i put that in there.

Your Croc looks almost like an Okeetee corn to me, judging by the thick borders on his saddles.... But it's only a guess, maybe someone else on here could verify that...

Lovely snake anyhow!

He's very cute! If he's obsessed with the tree, he might also enjoy a hammock and a vine suction-cupped to each end. Then he could travel all around the whole viv without touching the ground! (I have a baby that loves to do that).
