So i've had Diablo since last thus. tried feeding for the first time last night......did not eat:confused: Left him in a little bowl and the pinkie covered in a dim room for 2 hrs....nothing. My question is should i try to feed him again tonight or wait 5 more days. Also, i am dieing to take him out, i havent since i got him, if i dont feed him for another 5 days would it be alright to take him out. Can you tell i'm new to the snake thing...lol

One more question.....im a newb..lol if i thaw out a pinkie is it ok to freeze it again for a later date or just trash it? Thanks

Throw away uneaten defrosted pinkies and use a different one next time. As with human food, don't re-freeze defrosted food.

Try leaving the food with the snake overnight. Some (especially nervous newcomers) like to eat in complete dark and quiet, without being watched. Maybe try that tonight and if it doesn't work, leave it 4 days before trying again.

Are you making the pink hot enough? It needs to be HOT, not warm. Cut some slits in it, too. If he doesn't eat tonight, then wait four days, and don't handle him until he eats at least once. He needs to be relaxed and stress-free to eat. Handling is frightening.

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!....He ate!!!! Thawed the pinkie put two slits in it put him in his feeding container then in his viv....checked about 45 mins later no more pinkie.....not to big of a lump in him though, dont want to push it and try and feed him a second this first time. Maybe two in about 5 days.

He doesn't need two pinks till he is pretty big- 16 grams. No need to rush into it. You _really_ don't want him to regurge. That is major trouble. So now let him digest for at least 48 hours, preferably 72 if you can stand it, before handling. Congratulations!!

Thank you...will do!!!

make sure his " seperate" ( many people always recommend seperate) feeding tank or box is big but not to big so he will have to face the pinkie, maybe the size of a shoe box or a wee bigger
