If both parents are het butter, than yes it could be caramel. Does not look like a normal to me. Amber or caramel mot is more likely. Regardless, it's a beaut!
I don't see any reason to believe there's any emoryi in there. Many caramel-related snakes are yellowy.
As for whether it's a normal motley or caramel motley, IMO either is a possibility based on that picture. If you can't tell in person, I'm not sure how anyone else is supposed to tell from pictures.
Got to agree with Serp on the Emoryi issue. I think there's got to be some caramel influence in there, just don't see normals with such a bright stripe on top.
Well, of course I'm only a minor in corn-knowledge and tend to learn from the more experienced and not to discuss something beyond my knowledge/experience, but I don't understand how the orange grandparent can have the color she has without being a cream, hence having some emoryi blood? The grandparents look like some kind of caramel (diffused?) and a crem motley-stripe... Or can normals het caramel also be that yellowish?
sorry, mixed up the pix in my last the thread.... so the first 2 pics are the grands and the latter is the mother? So the grands look like some kind of amel/hypo and a (diffused?) caramel; explanis the yellow inluences... following logic to my knowledge now; emoryi 'lightens up an amel to yellow and orangen, so couldnt it also lighten up a yellow stripe of a caramel?
Well, I still don't understand how the mother can be that kind of an orange and yellow phenotype without being at least amel... and having some emoryi floating around... or maybe being het caramel then... she cannot be a normal compared to what I have seen?
Of course I'm going to be told what's wrong in my logic, but thtat's only for my best to learn more
