Sorry I know this isnt a corn question but here goes. I have a 03 sinaloan milk baby that is currently around 16" long or so. It eats 2 pinkys a feeding every 3 days. The pinkys dont hardly leave a bulge. My question is can I up it to fuzzy mice? If it was a corn I would no question but I've heard that milksnakes dont have jaws that are as expandable as cornsnakes do. I've only had the snake a month and I'm amazed at how quickly it is growing, and it is very good tempered. I think I know what my new breeding attempt will be in another year or so! Thanks for any help you all can give.
 
I have had a milksnake before and I moved him up when he was ready which it sounds like yours is. I don't know why you are feeding every three days but with larger meals you will need to give it more time in between feedings most definitly. Move up to small fuzzies every 5-7 days IMHO

As an experienced milksnake keeper

I say move him up, and wait 5-7 between feedings after doing so. I have Sinaloans, and would venture to say that they can swallow anything a corn of the same length can, as a juvenile. Some species of milks are a bit thin, but with L.t.sinaloae, you needn't worry about a food item being "swallowable" b/c of the snakes' jaws. That being said, milks can be notorious for flat out refusing food they aren't accustomed to, and some of mine have driven me crazy trying to move up in size, or offering a rat pup when used to mice. Just keep an eye on things. You'll enjoy him. They are one of the least flighty milks that stay tri-colored, and get nice and big (4 ft or so).
 
Thanks for the answers. I was thinking she was ready for bigger mice and will be glad to move her on up. And I will definitely cut back the feedings to every 5 days or so once she's on the fuzzies. I hear fuzzies have much more nutritional content and I can't wait to see how much growing she'll do once she's on a more nutritious food source.
