Out of curiosity, is it common for a snake to not use their hide box very often? He's not eager lately to go in there. He spends most of his time on the other side of the tank, sleeping beside his water dish. It's also the cooler side of the tank. I've check to make sure the temperature is right on the warmer side, so it's not so much an issue of him being too hot there. Is it just his awkward personality?

I don't know...I just gave Zee a new larger heat mat. He used to always go in the hide over the mat, if he wanted to be warm, but now he lays right along the glass. I think he thinks if his head is under the aspen, the rest of him is hidden, too.

Well, Oro's active during the night I think, but that's probably because it's when I spend most of my time with him and there's the most action going on in the room.
