I made a paypal donation that has been confirmed by paypal, but usually I get a confirmation email from whomever I make a payment to and have not recieved one. Just wanted to make sure the money got where it was supposed to go.Thanks.
 
really depends on where you sent it. Sometimes people are very busy and it takes a few days to get around to thanking people for "donations.". I've had some take several days~ up to a month if whomoever was being donated to was particularly busy with whatever caused them to be in a situation to need a donation. One thanked me to the wrong name (thought I was named Carol) but I didn't complain~ if it was a "donation" you didn't really do it for the recognition anyway did you? You did it because whomever/whatever you donated too needed the money.

IF it was a tax deductable donation you will get a receipt. Otherwise~ if it was to a reputable source~ someone will eventually recognise you for your donation.
 
right after I posted it occured to me that you meant you sent a donation to THIS site! LOL (It's late) Give Rich a couple days. It's the weekend at the height of show and shipping season. He's probably really busy. He'll get to it. Send him an E-mail inquiry if you don't hear from him by Monday
 
not worried about , as you put it, recognition, just usually seem to get one of the mass email confirmations. If thats not how it works I won't worry about it. I just didn't know where to inquire.( I actually didn't realize this would show right up in the new posts, kind of embarassing actually:0
 
Well, I'm not really sure if I got it or not. I sometimes get donations via PayPal in which someone does not use the subscription program within this message board system, and in some cases the email address does not match anything on this site, nor am I given any clues at all about who it is actually from. In such case, I simply wait until I hear back from them and they "confess" about who the donation should be applied to. Sorry, but I don't know any better way to deal with something like this, without broadcasting the identifying details here online, and some people just may not be very happy with me doing something like that.

So if you can let me know the details about the PayPal transaction, I can try to find out what is going on.

BTW, thanks for the donation, regardless.......... :)
 
OK, thanks for the PM. Odd that it didn't get set up automatically, but I have taken care of it, nonetheless.

If ANYONE does a contribution and the icon doesn't get set up in a couple of days, please contact me so I can take care of it. The process should be mostly automatic, but like everything else, there can be glitches here and there.
