Nutribac vs other probiotics?

I'm looking to get some sort of probiotic just to have on hand for my snakes and when I asked a buddy to check if a store he was visiting had any he said to just go to a health store and get a product called acidophilus. He claims that it's perfectly safe for snakes and that he uses it on his RTBs, cresteds, beardies, and any other animal he has that needs it (including himself, wife, and kid lol). I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this product or something similar.

Since snakes are not human and their normal bacterial flora might be different, I personally would use a product specifically labeled for them, hence my choice of BeneBac for Reptiles or Nutribac. I'm just weird that way.

I have benebac on hand. I got a large amount last vet visit. I use it when things don't "look" quite right with poo or/if we have a regurge. I also have Flagyl, on hand and a dosing chart by weight. This too was from my vet.

IMO, I'd get the stuff for snakes just to be sure. It's probably not all that much more expensive than something from the local store.
