O.T. Very cool Canebrake sighting!!!

MegF.

That's for sale???
I was driving home late from work due to a bad crash when I saw a snake crossing the road. Once it straightened out I knew what it was....a Canebrake rattlesnake!! Woohoo. It was already to the grass by the time I stopped and ran back with my snake hook. A big fat-looked to be a gravid female-stretched out in the grass. I snapped a couple of pictures with my camera phone. She made a half-hearted strike at me and then coiled and rattled at me. I moved her head over to get her away from the road and finally got her to head over to a grassy culvert. Except for the one strike, she didn't attempt to do so again. Now if I could figure out how to get the pictures off my phone, I'd post them...I can't e-mail them to me as I don't have e-mail service on my phone. Any other suggestions?

I use a usb cable for mine and just browse it like a separate memory.
If your phone and your computer both have bluetooth you can transfer that way, it's a little slower. If your phone has bluetooth and your comp. doesn't you can purchase a usb bluetooth "dongle" for about $15 on "some auction site".

I'll have to see if I can get a usb cable. Wish the darn thing had a card to put in a reader. I have a reader for just about every size there is!

Can your phone connect to your computer by IR? Or Bluetooth? What kind of phone is it?

if you have verizon, you can send it to your pixplace on the interwebz... go to vzwpix.com, sign up (free), then using your phone, send a pix message to "my pix place" (that should be an option on your phone). then, voila! the pic is on the internet ready to share....

Simple solution! Message me and I will give you my number then you can text them to me and i will get them onto my computer and mail them to you!

I'm going to text them to a friend of mine and she'll send them to me. I'll post them in a day or so.

O.K. Thanks to a friend of mine...here are the pictures. They are small due to the cell phone texting capabilities but I think you can see it. I also am putting up a photo of another canebrake that we found at a piece of property we were looking at to buy. I'm still sad that it didn't work out.

When I lived in California we came across the Southerns quite a bit. Haven't seen anything but Canebrakes here although we also have pygmys, and easterns around in this area.
