My corn, of unknown sex (but named Bobby, by my son) was bought as a small juvenile in January. He is kept in a 20gal long viv with Aspen chips, the usual items (water bowl, 2 hides, some decorations) and a small UTH on one end.
He/she eats well (2 fuzzies/week) has been growning well and generally done well.
For the past day or so, I have noticed a stinky odor coming from the tank. This surprises me, as I recently did a full clean-out/scrub-down. I went in this morning and spot-cleaned out 2 or 3 poops and am hoping this will do the trick.
I am wondering if the odor is merely a house-cleaning issue, if there is something related to reaching sexual maturity and if I have to bruminate him/her. This is my only snake, like I said, don't know the sex and have no desire whatsoever to breed. Is bruminating necessary?
I have never had a problem with odors in the viv before-
