your closer to the rockville Bethesda area right ... there are a lot of bats out that way .... we have our share here in Hagerstown but since my attic is a walk up / semi finished (soon to be finished!!) they don't get up there ....

I love bats!!!!!! I found this cute little snoozing booger outside my apartment last year.
I wanted to keep him as a floofy pet, but I had no idea what to feed him, how to house him, etc. so I decided against it.

I bought my cat to kill mice. He simply watches them frolic in my kitchen at night.
He's been voted mostly harmless by all the critters here-- wild and otherwise.

Robbie, I LOVE bats, too...really, so much so that I researched bat houses and put them on the house out of the way of trees because they're...um...easily confused! But as cute and cuddly as they are, "get thee away from me, Satan!!!" I will gladly raise mosquitos for them, but I must draw the line at them sharing living space with me.
I do, however, LOVE revisiting Tim and his mouse/spatula/sleeping Libby and Gizmo story! :laugh:
