Okeetee or Normal

I may be purchasing this gorgeous male. I'm told he's an Okeetee, born in Medicine Hat. Think he is one, or a normal? I love his pattern and colors so I'm probably going to buy him anyway.

This is where things get tricky. Do they know the back ground of the animal, where it came from and can they prove it? If you do a search on the site you will find a few discussions/debates about what is and is not an okeetee. I don't any other way I can answer your question Kathy.. How ever it is a nice looking animal ! :grin01:

Regards..

Yeah its a question that comes up a lot over what is an Okeetee and what isn't.
In my opinion, it doesn't look too much like an Okeetee.
Whatever the outcome, It's a great looking snake and would be a great purchase :)

I hope your getting a good price, but pay for it what you really think it is worth!!
Regards.. T and J

She is asking $100, he is 2.5 years old. I feel that's reasonable..whatchya think?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy him. When the pattern is like that, think he could be het for motley or stripe?

I think he's a beauty too!

Well I've decided not to purchase him, and it was a hard decision. I talked about it with hub. I have 4 snakes on order, 3 are males, I have a male here as well. I was going to use him for breeding later on with my okeetee that I'll be purchasing, but..also don't know the lineage of this particular beauty and if I'm going to sell the babies as Okeetees, then it's best to use all known Okeetees. I fell in love with his pattern, and his disposition is fantastic according to his owner. Hub figures I'll have enough on my plate with my four new babies. Drat, he is right. I should start gradually and slowly build my stock. He said it's not a race and in due time, I'll have just as nice snakes by my own breeding as the one in the picture.

He is located in Edmonton if anyone is interested. She wants him to go to a good home.

ugh it was hard to hit send on the email, he is so beautiful I didn't want to let him go.

I know all about wanting to extend your collection asap! I did learn to 'behave' and think first a little, but still had some difficult decisions to make lately... and will have to in the future I know for sure... I think breeding your own gorgeous okeetee is a good decision! Much more satisfying and it leaves space for another acquirement for some years to come!
