Open wound on head

Today I came home from work and while checking the snakes discovered that somehow over night my larger hog island managed to scrape up the top of her head pretty bad (one appeared to have been actively bleeding and since has scabbed over) and 2 others where its just scraped. I already have a vet appointment setup for Wed for just a check up and will have it checked out then, but any advice what to do until then? Wed was the earliest she could get us in. Shes been eating fine and I think the scrapes are just from trying to shed, but I'm just worried about infection.

A photo would go a long way, because protocol is 100% dependant on severity. I don't even apply a triple antibiotic to a minor scrape, let alone a vet visit. Just remove whatever surface she rubbed on, becasue it is my experience that they will often rub it again. A more severe one with lots of tissue missing can be very serious.

Just a quick cell phone pic, kinda throws off the colors/washes out because of flash, but you can see the main wound in question. For size reference she's about 6-6.5ft and she is NOT happy right now lol. Was just going to put neosporin (or something similar) via q-tip but didn't know if there were better actions to take

Yeah, I would try Neosporin, if you know your vet, email them the photo. I hate herp vet visits in the dead of winter. That's not going to be life-threatening, but you'll need to watch it during sheds (which may be very frequent for a while). Any ideas what was in her cage she could have done that on?

I keep her in a rack where its dark, so really the only things in there are her, the bedding, and her water dish. Other than that the top of the cage is a peg board and my guess is that's where it happened, unfortunately that can't really be changed, but she does get a bigger home any day now :)

Vet ended up having an opening this am, took her in and we ended up finding a small nick inside her mouth that had a little discharge on it (possibly scratched by a rat last week, and for the record I feed f/t 99% of the time, except I have a ball on a feed strike that I thought might be enticed by something moving). Ended up getting it cultured and antibotics which should help protect her head anyways
