Ordering Frozen Mice

I have a dilemma. I want to start ordering frozen mice online but it looks like the minimum quantity for smaller ones is around 100, a little bigger is 50. That's ALOT of mice. I only have three snakes and only one would be on fuzzy size mize. Is there a place that sells less quantities than that?

Any other suggestions?

100 fuzzies don't take up much room in the freezer. They would last you about 7 months. The money you would save should make it well worth your time.

So, what I was worried about was how much I would have to throw out. Seven months is a long time, that would be ok.

I think that the minimum quantity per pack at this website is 50 for some and 25 for others. I bought 100 pinkies for my 1st snake and found that I was moving on to fuzzies with literally dozens still in the freezer.

Perfect! That's half of the other sites. I think that will work alot better as far as minimizing the waste.

You can also check for a local herp society and either split an order with other people. Or sometimes they will have someone local who raises/sells frozen mice.

craigs list supposedly works well for finding people to split orders with.

I've kept frozen rodents in my freezer for up to two years (not anymore though, they don't last that long around here!).

They will be able to gobble down that many easily. 3 snakes eating 1 each per week will consume 100 nice in 8 months. You may well have them on a more aggressive feeding schedule e.g. a feeding every 4 or 5 days, then they will finish the 100 mice in 5 or 6 months

I think he meant he only has one that eats fuzzies.
