aww so cute ...& ugly at the same time..lol baby birds are kind of ugly..but it's going to be pretty :) congrats!

I can't believe you could say my little precious is ugly! Lol, yes, I do agree they look nothing at this stage compared to how they look when they are feathered out.

I am not gonna lie i had to look up what a conure was. Those are gonna be a handsome bird when he gets older!

Eww. That's worse than baby mice. Lol. But just like some mice, I'm sure it'll look very pretty when it's grown!

BlackBear123... I could say the same about my kids from time to time, but suffice it to say that it does sound like a jungle in here from time to time with all of our critters.

Thanks Nanci!!! I think we've been bitten by the nature bug. Our children... everyone in the house really simply loves learning about animals, plants, you name it and as little girl and the one currently still living here and going to college can tell you, there simply is no better way to learn about nature then to have them and watch them go through the various stages of life... sure... textbooks are great, but not for little kids and not for me either really. Of course, I'm preaching to the choir here as we wouldn't be on this forum if we didn't love nature. It really means a lot to me to see so many positive comments and even the disparaging ones said in kindness about our beautiful little bird. Life is a learning experience for me and I hope the learning never ends so long as I am alive.

We are hand feeding this one. I will definitely post some more pictures as this one grows. I'm not sure about promising a daily progression, but definitely some feeding pictures and the like and a good weekly progression at the very least could be done. His eyes are starting to open just a bit now so the picture I posted is a few days old already.

my mom has a conure she's had since he was a hatchling. he was so incredibly ugly at first, but he's gorgeous now.

30 cm and 110 grams at maturity approximate size with a lifespan that can exceed 20 years so it is a definite long term companion animal, but still relatively small LMS68.

Robin Goodfellow, trickster, fairy, all of these connotations or none of these connotations in the name of your snake TwinBlades? Whatever the case may be, I love the name you have chosen for your snake.

I'll get some more updated pictures of this one either today or in the morning for you guys.

Looked up conure & I think that's what one of my friends' had. She had green plumage. Interesting bird.

Conures are really beautiful birds. I'd love to get one but don't have the time to keep it happy. They're like kids practically, and I don't have time for those either ;)

I look forward to updates on this one!
