Our Lonely Corn and Taiwanese Beauty

I'm thinking she'll be fairly calm and sweet, at least to me; just by the way she doesn't hide from me when I open her tank and how she'll rise up to greet my hand now when I reach in to handle her. Not making any guarantees on how she'll be with everyone else though. :D I'm just ready for her to be bigger so we can safely play in the grass outside without me worrying that I won't be able to catch her should she want to explore something.

LOL. If she's like most corns, she'll be just fine.

HOWEVER, if she isn't you'll need to compare notes with, NANCI. She's got a beautiful corn named Ruby... she is a cobra in a corns clothing. :)

Speaking of Cobras... I was looking at a Red Nosed Spitting Cobra. Katie shot that down pretty quickly...

Needles to say I didn't bother arguing that one...

And if you look to your right...you'll see what we women call the 'smart man' move. :D
ROFLOL! Where have you two been???? I think you both are quite awesome additions to the forum already!!! Quite hilarious!

BTW, are you two sharing a computer or - like my wife and I - posting from 2 different laptops? My wife recently joined in - probably to keep tabs on me, but will likely NOT post anything since she isn't particularly fond of snakes. :p

Oh... another thing about Kokoro... Out of all the snakes, I think she's the most intelligent. The only ones that seem to "interact" with me are her and the W/C coachwhips I've caught around here (C & R). Kokoro will interact with me by coming to me... and not being distracted by my hands or other objects. When I look at her... she "looks" back. :crying: ALMOST scary!

:) Two different laptops, in the same room, running commentary for each other on all the different threads we're reading. Who says we don't know how to spend a Friday night..

Fred, it definitely is almost scary when they look at you with seemingly such intelligence. I always wonder what Dr. S is thinking when she gives me "the eye". I'd love to think that the snakes are just acting on lovable impulse when they come right to you, but part of me believes Dr. S is thinking 'I wonder how high she'll jump when I dart my face over here real quick...' Kokoro sounds like quite the character!

Hahaha thanks Fred! We are just sitting on our own laps tops in the living room waiting for some brownies to cool. The 2 boys (pups) are asleep and the house is strangely quiet, which is nice since I've had a cold the past day and a half.

I know that feeling that you are talking about, Shakalu will sit and stare at me when someone else is holding her, almost like she is saying, "I'm ok with this but don't you leave me here with this stranger". It would be nice to know whats going through that little head of hers. That or I might not want to, knowing her temperament some days (Not for young audiences!)

With them being very closely related, I believe they BOTH are quite the characters. Hmmmmm... I wonder if there have ever been any TBS and VBB breedings???? LOL.

Before he died, Mushu was also pretty full of himself. :) At that time, however, I was MORE scared of him than cautious... and I think he knew it. I wish there were a way to get him back and redo some of the errors I made back then (by letting him bully me into putting him back!). :)

Anyway, getting late here.... been fun! G'night! I hope your thread continues to show off your pretty snakes... we've been pretty OT here. Sorry!

Here are some recent ones of our TBS

Hey Fred here is an idea on her size:

NICE!!! He's much thicker around than either of my beauty snakes had/have gotten.. but he IS much older as well! He looks almost "golden" in some pics and places.

Envy, envy, envy... LOL. Congrats on him.

Oh... you might want to post more pics of your corn here too... Corns are in the "photo gallery" and other snakes go in the "general chit-chat". Just a friendly FYI.

I think I'll go to the pet store down the street and take a gander at their TBS... LOL.

Ah alrighty will remember that! We'll get some more recent pictures of our corn Scarlett probably tomorrow. She ate about 2 days ago, so we'll let her digest her meal before we get her out for a photo shoot. Also we are hoping to get another corn in the next couple of weeks so we'll make sure to get a pick of the two of them together.

Here's Scarlett Snake! She decided that, right after I took a few photos and picked her up again, it was the PERFECT moment to release her bowels. I think that was her way of telling me she didn't like her picture taken.

Ahhhhhh... Nice pics! She is pretty, for sure!

As for the bowels... that's why I always take them out AFTER they've pooped! LOL. I'm sure they could still push something out, but at least the likelihood is less. :)

Katie, have you decided on the upcoming corn's morph? Just curious.

Also... is that a bite on your thumb??? OUCH!
