Artz and Snakez
She doesn't have a name yet...I bought her for my bf, who's currently away at basic training. He's wanted a boa for the longest time, and I finally found him the perfect one :)

She's a leopard Sonoran boa :) She arrived this morning, and is the absolute calmest snake ever...although she definitely wants to be a shoulder snake (she kept reaching for my shoulders...and yes, she was no doubt just exploring.

She's almost 2 years old.

I took a few pictures before putting her in her new home. She seems to have a great deal of fondness for being elevated. She spent most of the day (at least when I saw her) on her branch. This evening, she moved to perch on her warm-side hide.

The first picture is her actual color...the lower picture washed out from taking it through the screen cage top.
 
I just now read the post again... I'm sorry to say but that's not a Leopard Boa... She's possibly het, but Leopards are very distinct...

Anyways... Leopard Boas have deep black eyes, scattered/striped/random pattern and tons of orange under all that Melanin.

You're right...she's het leopard. I misread her information sheet =P Either way, I think she's quite lovely :)

And quite possibly the most aggressive feeder I've ever seen. All of our corns are quite placid after being fed...even if they're still roaming looking for food, none of them have struck at me. This one struck as soon as I opened her feeding tote and sat on top of her warm-side hide hissing once I finally got her back in (had to tilt the tote and let her crawl out. She definitely did not want assisted)

I'd read that Sonorans were among the more aggressive of the boas, but she's been completely chill until feed time. Here's hoping she goes back to her normal, placid self once she's digested :)
