Good Morning Everyone

Would it be possible and safe for my corn snake to paint my viv ? Because I have just extended her home and want to know of it will harm her in anyway ? If I can what type of paint should I use ??

Kind regards

I'm curious to know of non toxic paints as well. I think it would be neat to get the snakes out right before a shed and let them paint.

I thought so, but couldn't help getting enthused about the other idea too. Have you done a search within the forum? I suspect you might find some options in the DIY section for both paint and sealant types. If no one else chimes in, I'll be happy to go digging for info. I'd love to hear about and eventually see your project, though!

If it's non toxic, doesn't emit crazy fumes, and you put a layer or two or more of a polyurethane(?) sealant over it, should be fine. I imagine it wouldn't be much different than painting various hides or styrofoam backdrops that many have done in the DIY section. Might want to search there for ideas of safe paints.

i still need to add the mulch ........plus this is going on top of her existing viv ....so it will be 3 levels with a height of 1.7 meters all in all

please comment and tell me what you think :)

i will take a pic of the complete unit as soon as i have placed this tank on her existing one :)

please keep in mind i made everything myself .....including the aluminum sliding doors :)

Well... it looks really slick. Since most corns are barely semi-arboreal at best though, there's a pretty good chance "looks" is all it's gonna be good for. Then again, she could be one of the rarer corns that loves to climb and explore throughout adulthood. Either way, congrats on a project almost completed. Can't wait to see the whole assembly together!

It's lovely! I can't wait to see more pictures, of course, but I'm so glad you posted this one. Here's hoping your corn enjoys exploring that wonderful space. There's a lot of enrichment potential in there to give your corn a great life.

How are you heating the enclosure? Have you chosen your paints yet, and have you found the information you need?
