Hope you still like him !!!

Thanks

He looks awesome! I can't wait to see how the red looks when he's an adult. Thanks for the update!

He's adorable!! =] It would be really cool if the paradox were a recessive gene and could be applied as an inverse white-pied trait. x] Red spots on a lavender? I'd want one!!

Hahaha I can dream. :D
And btw, did I mention that he's really really ridiculously good looking? ;]

Is there a post with the origin to this guy (parents, clutchmates, previous year's results)? If so, I missed it. A link to the history in this progression thread would me nice.
Thanks,
KJ

My idea on most paradox snakes is that they are chimeras.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimera_(genetics)

Therefore, they could never reproduce others similar in appearance.
I was just thinking the EXACT same thought. About Chimeras.

However, there is a Japanese website that I have bookmarked somewhere that sells paradox snows, where it is implied (maybe?) that it is reproductively reproducible.
I'll find it and let y'all look at it.

What, as in opposed to spray paint...? :D
LOL...something like that, Torsten.

On this site there are available snakes, and the last time I checked, paradox snows seemed to be the big thing here...meaning there.

And, umm, sorry,....you'll have to go to "Japanese Home".

NOTE : And I am not trying to hijack your thread LAPD. I am just fascinated by the phenomenon of "paradox" morphs.

Ahhhh~! They actually have some nice snakes on there! I don't even want to know what shipping it. :p

But those paradox snows are something else. I wonder if they do have a breeding pair that produces the offspring annually? Hmmmmmmm......

Gorgeous boy! I love the purple on red effect. Two of my favorite colors. Now, if I could only get them in snake form...

I honestly can't say one way or another if the "Paradox" thing is reproducible. I know that with my own personal trials (and based on conversations with other owners), The Ruby Freckled (Snows) are not. I'm not sure if this case is more comparable with the Freckled or the Paradox, but I know that alot of people have tried to reproduce all sorts of oddities with no conclusive "yea" data.

Where did you get him from? Any indication from his genetic history that the parents or grandparents may have had the same thing goin on?
