Partner for an Amel?

I was wondering, what would be a good breeding partner for an Amel? I would like something that is not a normal with hets, that acctually shows a mutation. I would also like something with amel in it that will produce some amel offspring.

Thanks.

If your amel has no hets then the only thing you could breed it to to not get all normals is another amel...in which case you would get more amels.

amel (no hets) x amel (no hets) = amel

amel (no hets) x anything else (het for ?) = normals het for amel het for ? (unless the anything else is het for amel in which case you will get some amels and some normals)

Does your amel have any hets?

I forgot to mention...you could also breed it to anything that was het for amel and you would get some normals and some amels.

amel x anery het amel = normals and amels
amel x hypo het amel = normals and amels
...etc...

Another thought...you could also breed it to corns that are homozygous recessive for multi traits if one of them is amel. For example an opal (lavender + amel)

amel x lavender amel = normals and amels

However if the amel in question is the creamsicle in your signature then you would not get pure corns out of any pairing. You would get hybrids...some kind of creamsicles and rootbeers...I don't really know hybrid morphs so I can't help out much there.

What about a motley or stripe het Amel? Visual morph, will produce some Amel offspring but not all Amels....

If you seriously wanted to produce some amels, then breed your amel to a Snow. Maybe a snow stripe? Or one of stevens really nice pink snows.

Amel x snow stripe =
100% Amel het for anery, het for stripe?

someone correct me if im wrong..:)

What about an ultramel? Or even better, an untramel bloodred??

This would make the most sense to me...because ultra is codom with amel right? So ultra+amel=snakes het for ultra and amel...but since they are codom that gives you ultramels, no? (correct me if I'm wrong)
