I was out yesterday and saw this cool thing:

Did you catch it? Any chance it was in deep shed and dirty?

Nope, it's in a National Park. I photographed it from a boardwalk. It was on an island with about 10 feet of water between me and it. So even if I wanted to catch it, it would be very difficult.

From the photos, it does not have a "dirty" look to it. Rather it appears that the snake's coloration is a uniform "rust" color. I'll check back periodically and see if it's still there and if its color/pattern changes in the upcoming weeks.
