Personalities?

Do snakes have "personalities"? I am a new corn owner and I know they are not warm and fuzzy pets like cats or dogs, but I was curious if they do have a personality or more just varying temperments.

I luv our new corn and was just wondering if I imagine the small things that I think make up his "personality" vs. him just acting like a "normal" snake.

I would have to say that they definately have personalities. There are just some little quirky things that instinct and species won't account for, a big part of why I love'em so much. :D

Oh yeah! Mine have personalities for certain. One is really laid back, would eat in the middle of the freeway, and likes to just hang out. The other is more nervous, and likes to eat with the box closed so that no one can see in. Admittedly, she's very new, and hasn't been handled much yet, but she's definitely more skittish than my other one. From day one, she was totally cool and calm.

Absolutely - I have 13 Corns and they each have different preferences and behaviour patterns.

Without doubt! My snake is a complete nutcase, honestly. I often say he must've been a very bad man in a past live, sentenced to spend the next one as a mad snake with only me to look at :D

What's that called, when you give animals human attributes? (Tracee needs to go back to school..!)

I have found that each of my corns have a different personalilty. My female motley sunglow is by far the friendliest! She will wait at the end of her cage to let me pick her up. When I do, she will wrap herself around me so I can't get away. (I don't think she's confused me with a pinkie...)

I love playing with her!
