Pewter _ Selective Breeding

Lexcorn

Dreamcatcher
The 2nd clutch is 'on the ground' _ & this is the 1st of many that are due to hatch this month.

This pairing was to 'test' the male for the Hypomelanistic gene &, although, he does not carry said gene..........

You cannot complain at the results of this breeding.

Interesting:

Congrats!!

VERY NICE diffusion lex.

Thanks

There's no denying that I considered this pairing capable of producing excellent examples of Diffusion at it's best.

Both parents present with this feature, therefore, having selected for this specific trait I would have been most surprised if we did not see some progeny inherit from the clutch.

The fact that practically all hatchlings are exemplary is very pleasing

Now, where's that Hypo gene

Lex

Congrats can't wait for the rest to hatch!!

Thank ya Danielle,

They have all hatched, however, all are now in the process of sloughing & not, particularly, photogenic.

I will post further up dates when they have sloughed & eaten 1st pink :D

Lex

Amazing diffusion! I would be happier with such nice examples of the morph, than having a surprise hypo, although I can't imagine how nice a hypo with that diffusion would look. Congrats. good luck with the rest of them.

Yus,

I agree with your statement. I am, indeed, happier with the overall quality of both the animals & the extreme Diffusion.

The fact that there are a major number in this clutch presenting with this feature is a testament to the success of the selective breeding strategy.

Your wish will be granted in a few years as all hatchlings are 100% hetero Hypomelanistic...........the Phantom Bloodred / Hypo Pewter will be produced from this lineage :spinner:

Thank you for your kind compliments.

Lex

speechless (or is it speakless ) breathtaking (Lex)corns

Hi Marc,

Ya, I will admit to being pretty speechless when these guys appeared :crazy02:

And yus, looks like there will be some exceptional Keepers for the continuing Breeding Programme :D

Regards. Lex

Thank ya for all of your hearty congratulations Folks :laugh01:

All 14 hatchlings have now completed their 1st slough & eaten 1st Pink.

Thangs are progressing real fine.

Up date photo's to follow soon ;)

Regards. Lex

Wow Lex!!! I've always said your corns are top quality, but these are something else! Perfection maybe?

Too bad I can't just come over and grab a few while I'm in England - or at least I couldn't get them in a plane anyway... Still eagerly waiting for the day when I'll get my first lexcorns. :D
