Phantom/Charcoal Ghost

All,
I was trying to figure out the difference between a phantom and a charcoal ghost. I was looking at the corn calculator and came up with normals het phantom, het charcoal. I came up with that from a male ghost and a female charcoal (het zig zag). I have searched here for pic's of a phantom and have come up empty handed. So I am just wondering if they are the same thing as a charcoal ghost. Thanks for any replies...

Phantoms are, AFAIK, charcoal ghosts... but the name doesn't seem to stick. Most people just sell em as charcoal ghosts and leave the phantom label behind.

Yes, they are definitely the same animal. The first person I ever heard call them Phantoms is John Organiscak.

I've tried using both names at some shows to try to get a feel for what is more acceptable to people, but neither name seemed to spark a buying frenzy.

I believe I even had a little bit of a contest a while ago to try to drum up a new name for them, but nothing ever came of it.

I don't really like 'Phantom', and neither am I much enthused over 'Charcoal Ghost', but so far no other name has popped up that seems to hit the spot. Someone suggested 'Ashy Corn' and I've toyed with the idea of 'Platinum Corn', but some of them get an extensive amount of yellow on them that kind of throws those names out the window.

Oh well...........
