I was scrounging around in my pics thinking I had what I 'believe' to be hypo Opals but couldn't find any. Carol has one that I believe to be hypo Opal just because it looked different from the other Opals in that clutch. Opals vary soooo much that that is not a good way to determine true genetics.
I think we have a pair of hypo Lavs, male het amel (proven) and female possible het (unproven) at The Lazy Slither Ranch. Producing amels from homozygous hypos is the only way I know to be absolutly sure they are amel and hypo.
Another tough one is Snopals! The Opals vary enough that it is hard to see the subtle differences between the two. :crazy02:
