I See Snakes...
This time we actually managed to get a few pictures while at the show, but unfortunately we didn't take any people pictures. We were far too busy drooling over the animals and chatting with everyone we ran into out there today. It was really great seeing everyone and we're definitely looking forward to seeing you guys the next time. =)

ANYwho... Here's some of the critter pics I managed to salvage from the flash fiasco:

Starting off with some cute little albino turtles. Don't ask me what kind, cause I couldn't tell you. I just know they were extra cute.

Scaleless Ratsnake:

They are very neat looking, but freaky at the same time. We actually purchased our new male Potosi from the same guy who had the scaleless rats. I tried getting pics of the hatchlings he had, but they didn't come out very well..

I've got one more post to put up - with some other pictures and than I'll be finished. =)
 
These were pretty cool. The people who made them were at the Anahiem show last year, but they didn't have the numbers or variety that they did this year. The amount of time put into making them just blows my mind because they seem so realistic. If you didn't get a chance to check them out, you missed some pretty cool looking critters.

I really wanted to get one, but will have to wait until next time because they are a bit expensive and I'd forgotten about them. Next time I'll have some funds set aside to get me one of the little snake key chains though. They had all kinds of different python ones, some corns, and a few kings as well.

Anyway, that's all I've got for pictures. If anyone else has some they'd like to post, from the show, feel free to toss them up here. =)
 
The guy that was trying to get friendly with you looks like a retic to me. Those models are awesome, but those green turtles are stunning! The pattern is amazing!

Great pictures Jenn. I wish I was independently wealthy because I would be at every expo there was to be had. I would like to see what all the different vendors in the US had to offer. Most of all though, I would just like to meet everyone I have come to know via CS.com. The pic of the Chameleon perched on the branch is absolutely perfect. ;)

They were, and there had to be hundreds of different ones at the show. If they stayed that small and cute, I'd be tempted to get a few simply because they are fascinating creatures, but I really don't need another high maintenance water pet to have to take care of right now. Not to mention that they require far more work once they reach adulthood.

I feel the same way Jay, would love to get to the east coast and meet everyone from the other side. And if I had the money and the room, there are so many other species that I'd really love to own at least one of, if not a pair or two or four. lol

No, I didn't. Would have been neat to see what it felt like though. I imagine it would have been fairly soft with a few bumps here and there where the scales sit. I make it a rule to never handle a snake over my budget though. =)

He could have been a retic, but I didn't ask the guy who had him out and draped across his shoulders. All I did was ask if I could take a few pictures cause he was being so friendly. If I had thought about it, I would have tried to get more of his pattern into the picture. If he was, he was a small one because it was only one guy handling him, and he couldn't have been much more than 6-7 ft, maybe 8 (hard to tell when he's wrapped around and all coiled up.)

Great photos! I looove that chameleon shot. It's BEAUTIFUL!

I saw the scales ratsnake there. Not sure how I feel on those. Look interesting, sure, but I've heard they have alot of health issues do to the scalessness, and if that's the case, I hate that they're being intentionally bred. :(

And those little fimo statues they sell are great! That monitor was beautiful and the pinkies they have crack me up. A bit pricey though. Well, not really, since each one is OBVIOUSLY hand made and I know what work goes into that. If it were me, I'd just sculpt one and mold it. You can paint the castings to look just as nice, and charge 1/4 of what they have to charge... Yeah... I'm a brat!

It was great seeing you guys there!!! :) I'll have to get around to posting some of my pics today.
 
Awesome pics! I knew I should've gone through again and again, I spent two hours looking around and still didn't see everything!
 
Great pics Jen! It was nice seeing you and Tim at Denny's. Those hand painted pinks were great. Especially the ones that were sculpted and painted bluish purple to look like they had been sitting for a few days uneaten. :puke02: I wish I had take some pics.

Makes me sad I didn't have time to walk around as much. Dang.

And that FWC may have came home with me... OH NO!! ;)
