It wouldn't show up when I previewed it in the official contest entries area...maybe new people can't post pics til they show they're gonna behave, or something!

......& thank you! :)

Cool concept... and the shape of the snake is very natural.
One thing... I know the snake is supposed to be looped around the top of the 'k'... but on first glance it looks out of place (especially while the snake is butter and charcoal) Just looks like a black bar in the middle of no where for a few seconds. But that's probably just me.

And, btw, the top right of the 'k' also has a whitish border when it's against the bloodred snake. (and possibily the one just befor eit, but it's much harder to see) :)

Otherwise, it's very cool (don't usually like animations, but this is nice). Love the colors.

I love it, but have 2 suggestions. One is: slow down the animation. I hate animation for logos because they can be too distracting-- but I think your design is really nice, so it doesn't bother me too much. If you slowed down the animation it would be even better in my opinion. On a site like this where you will most likely be on a page for a while looking thru topics, quick flashing of animation is distracting, especially to regular visitors. My second suggestion is a non-white background. If I were you I'd play around and see what else looks good, just to make the snakes pop out a bit more. This is one of my top three favorites-- at least-- in the contest, so good luck!!!

Thanks BloodyCats & everyone else! :)

Yah, aside from filling in a bit of white here & there where the letters meet the illustration, I agree the animation might benefit by happening slower. My inspiration was the logo here:

http://www.adopt-a-greyhound.org

Usually I agree with you about animated logos...but my thinking here is, any one of these morphs could be used in a static version of the logo - perhaps even a different one on each page. I'm just gonna post the animation though, cause it seems to me uploading 3 versions of the same logo just with different color snakes would be redundant. Plus corns are known most for their variety, so I thought the animation might be a fun way to play on that :)

With regards to the white (or not!) background, I think I'd match it to whatever color background the site was using!

Thanks again!
