Hey Rich, I hope your doing well and your hatching season is winding down.
I was wanting to see if you could include in your Serpenco Photo Gallery, a pic of all of your 06 hatchlings that you are keeping for YOURSELF. Like a photo of all the hatchlings stacked up in the deli cups for the first few weeks. Also maybe a photo or two of your mouse breeding room.

Thanks Stephen

Well, quite honestly, I'm not sure being completely open about all my newer projects is really a smart thing for me to do. Not everyone will think about the same combinations in the same way, or at all. :grin01:

Not specifics, just numbers

I don't think anyone wants your inside view on projects, just an idea of the "volume" of holdbacks you get in a yr. I think a pick of a table with deli cups stacked like poker chips is what he had in mind. I think that would be a cool pic as well. I know I was in awe over that photo you posted with all the shoeboxes of eggs on the racks earlier this summer. Anyway, whatever th number...I bet feeding day can get to be a real pain.

LOL! There is no feeding DAY around here. The only way the work load can be accomplished is by dividing the number of animals that need to be fed by the number of days in a week (or a realistic number) and doing that many animals EVERY DAY. During a few months in the winter and early Spring, I can normally give Connie and myself the weekend off and get everything done Monday thru Friday. But during the rest of the year, it is a 7 day a week job, with no time off for good behavior. During breeding season, egg laying season, and egg hatching season, it is more like a 10 day a week job........

And during my "breaks" from the physical labor of SerpenCo, I then sit in my den and try to resolve problems, mods, upgrades, and issues on these sites and my servers, and answer emails and PMs inbetween. I also try to squeeze in shipping out orders every week, along with the necessary paperwork........

I seriously doubt many people comprehend the workload around here.....

I might be able to comprehend...

I would just multiply the work I do with my 40 snakes by 50 and then add the shipping and web junk onto that....Then I'd cry myself to sleep at night. :grin01:
