Here are two poor pictures of a female Bloodred/Diffused that I produced this year. The Sire was a Bloodred and the Dam was a het Bloodred/ Charcoal/Amel. I think she would qualify as a low-white Pied, the pied seems to show up more as she grows and sheds. Any opinions welcome ( especially of those with Blood/Pieds or breeders of Blood/Pieds ) especially if you agree LOL. I will have siblings posted for sale soon...Kyle

Alot of diffuses have the "creeping" white from their belly. The actual Pied gene is a recessive gene. Though I guess anything is possible if enough selective breeding goes into it :)

The pied sided trait maybe related to the diffusion trait...Since it has only been observed in bloodred corns, it is unknown if pied-sided will have any effect in the absence of the diffusion gene

I'm going to hang onto her and breed her back to her father to see if I can determine if it came from the Sire or Dam, I am also holding back a male sibling, yet to be picked that also have some minor pied-siding to test breed with the mother, my first dinking project. In Balls one theory is that low white pied parents produce high white offspring and vice-versa?
 
You know I noticed the markings on her about a month (2 sheds) ago, but they weren't that prominent and now they are. The male I have held back has some really nice white too and I just looked at almost all of the others and everyone I looked at had at least a little bit of the marking around their throat. I would assume then that all of the het blood, siblings from both succesive clutches would stand to have a very good chance of having the blood-pied genetics also.
 
She is lovely. I also have a young male "hi-red" blood from Don S's lines...the parents came from a pied blood project, he also has that white on his neck... :)
